ISLAMABAD – The Special Court hearing the High Treason case against former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf, had termed the evidence record as incomplete as statements of 12 enlisted witnesses were missing.
According to the details received by the court correspondent of PakistanTribe on Thursday the Special Court rejected the witness record submitted by the prosecutors.
The lawyer of Pervez Musharraf argued that prosecutors added 25 names in witness list but only presented the statements of 13.
Shaukat Hayat said “With only 13 statements the court order of May 8 was not implemented.”
The Special Court headed by Justice Faisal Arab ordered the prosecutors to complete the record and adjourn thehearing.
Justice Faisal Arab also asked to record the statement of Secretary Interior who was the signatory of application that started that high treason trial against Musharraf. When the prosecutor Akram Sheikh mentioned that Secretary Interior was present in the court for the testimony, Justice Faisal Arab said that his statement cannot be recorded today.
